Acting Energy Minister Yurii Vitrenko said that the Ministry was working out the issue of making one bill for gas consumption and distribution, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“The creation of one bill for gas consumption and distribution is one of the specific issues we are currently considering due to the request of many consumers,” he said.
According to him, the Ministry is also dealing with the issue of tariff setting for gas distribution services, considering the possibility of their equalization, "to make the distribution tariff in some regions not higher than tariffs in others."
He also noted that the Ministry was considering the possibility of imposing restrictions on the monopolists’ margins in the retail and wholesale energy markets, as well as changing the principles of tariff setting, emphasizing that this will lead to lower prices for consumers.
“In order for consumers to be sure that they are not being blamed for the inefficiency of network operators and that money is not withdrawn, but invested in improving the quality and reliability of gas, heat, and electricity supplies,” Vitrenko said.
Earlier, Vitrenko sent a proposal to the Prime Minister to dismiss Kobolyev and the Naftogaz Supervisory Board.
