Volyngaz reports that, as of the beginning of April, residents paid 74% of the cost of gas supply services, Pershyi reports.
The company says that these funds are not enough to carry out all the necessary work to ensure uninterrupted gas supply.
“The Verkhovna Rada adopted a decision on the temporary abolition of fines and penalties for late payments. The decision was made to help consumers who were left without incomes survive quarantine. We share this position”, says commercial director of Volyngaz Andriy Karpomyz. “Unfortunately, some consumers took this as an opportunity not to pay for utilities at all”.
It is noted that supply funds are the only source of revenue for Volyngaz. Of these, the activities of the emergency dispatching service, the repair of gas pipelines, the maintenance of gas control and cabinet regulatory points, which reduce and maintain the necessary pressure in the networks, are financed.
The company also reminds about the opportunity to pay for gas supply online.
To recap, rotating power cuts may be introduced due to debts for electricity in Zhytomyr.
