The Verkhovna Rada did not raise excise tax on LPG

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law No.1210 amending the Tax Code without revising the excise tax rates on gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas. It is reported by Enkorr.

283 deputies voted for the draft law.

The deputies who submitted the draft law proposed to introduce a flat rate of excise tax on LPG and gasoline in the amount of €139.5/thousand liters.

To recap, Ukraine increased its critical dependence on LPG imports in 2019.

As reported earlier, the Committee on Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on January 13, 2020 did not support raising the excise tax on liquefied petroleum gas.
