All members of the Supervisory Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, who were present during the extraordinary meeting, submit written messages on early resignation.
On Friday night, April 30, the press service of Naftogaz published this information on the company's website.
“The Supervisory Board met to hold an extraordinary meeting as soon as its powers had been restored to ensure the continuity of proper corporate governance of the Company. We met with the new leader and board members. The latter expressed their concern about the possibility of fulfilling their powers in the future,” the message says.
After that, all members of the Supervisory Board who were present during the extraordinary meeting began to submit written notifications to the Company about the early termination of their powers as members.
“According to the corporate procedures, which are currently effective in the company, the termination of powers will take effect on May 14, 2021. The Supervisory Board will take advantage of the next two weeks to support the Company as much as possible and to ensure a proper delegation of authority, and will inform the shareholder of the details early next week,” the press service explained.
To recap, on April 28, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Yurii Vitrenko to head NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine instead of Andriy Kobolyev. The entire Supervisory Board of Naftogaz was also dismissed and then reinstated.
