The second line of Nord Stream 2 is being filled with gas

The second line of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is being filled with gas, Nord Stream 2 AG reports.

“On December 17, the procedure for filling the second line of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline began. Similar to the procedure carried out on the first line, the second line will be gradually filled with gas to achieve the required level of volume and pressure,” the message says.

To recap, the German regulator has warned that Nord Stream 2 will not be launched in the first half of 2022. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock also said that the Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 does not yet comply with European energy legislation.

As reported, the first line of Nord Stream 2 was filled with process gas in October.
