Ukraine paid $1.8 billion for imported gas for 9 months

In January-September 2019, Ukraine imported 9 billion 183.376 million cubic meters of natural gas totaling $1 billion 800.583 million, including in September – 1 billion 480.874 million cubic meters worth $264.725 million. Such data are provided by the State Statistics Service, Energoreforma reports.

In September 2019, the average price of imported gas amounted to $178.8 per 1 thousand cubic meters, which is 12.8% more than in August-2019 ($158.5).

The contractors for the nine months of 2019 were companies from Switzerland – 4 billion 49.87 million cubic meters of gas worth $769.631 million, Germany – 2 billion 826.842 million cubic meters for $546.666 million, the Czech Republic – 478.645 million cubic meters for $91.23 million, Hungary – 462.888 million cubic meters for $88.617 million, Poland – 342.778 million cubic meters for $71.695 million, France – 356.617 million cubic meters for $69.983 million, Austria – 267.171 million cubic meters for $72.437 million, the UK – 154.599 million cubic meters for $38.112 million, Luxembourg – 133.663 million cubic meters for $32.256 million, Slovakia – 92.011 million cubic meters for $16.215 million, Italy – 16.893 million cubic meters for $3.487 million, Bulgaria – 1.4 million cubic meters for $0.255 million.

It was previously reported that in the 7 months of 2019, Ukraine imported gas worth $1.3 billion.
