Energy consumption in Ukraine

According to the State Statistics Service, energy sources consumption in the last 6 months of 2019 is as follows:

• Coal – 22 403.8 thousand tons (+ 0.8% compared to the previous year);
• Natural gas – 17 389.9 million cubic meters (-7.7%);
• Fuel oil – 44 thousand tons (-72.6%);
• Petroleum* - 240 thousand tons (-3%);
• Diesel oil * – 1 916.3 thousand tons (+ 9.1%);
• Propane and butane* – 69.9 thousand tons (+ 14.4%).

3 627.3 thousand tons of coal (+ 10.6% compared to the same period last year), 1 186.7 million cubic meters of natural gas (+ 0.8%), 43 thousand tons of petroleum (-3.4%), 358 thousand tons of diesel oil (+ 11.1%), 3.6 thousand tons of fuel oil (-73.7%) and 12.4 thousand tons propane and butane (+ 14.3%) were used in June 2019.

It should be noted that filling stations sold 559.1 thousand tons of gas for the needs of the population, 463.4 thousand tons of diesel oil, 429.9 thousand tons of propane and butane for the whole six months.
