Oil transportation in the 1st quarter of 2019

In the 1st quarter of 2019 3.908 thousand tons of oil were transported by Ukrainian oil pipelines (by 184 tons or 4.6% more compared to the 1st quarter of 2018). According to the results of the quarter, 3.403 thousand tons (by 5.2% more than last year) of oil were transited by European partners and 505.2 thousand tons (by 0.7% more) were delivered to Ukrainian refineries. 

1.387 thousand tons were transported by Ukrainian oil pipelines in March 2019, of which 1.201 thousand tons were provided for European countries and 185.8 thousand tons – for Ukrainian refineries.  

It should be recalled that in 2018 the volume of transported oil by ukrainian oil pipelines was 15.4 million tons (by 4.3% less compared to the same indicator in 2017).

Oil refineries received 0.2% more of oil in 2018 than in 2017 – 2.1 million tons. Oil transit to Europe decreased by 4.3% to 13 million tons. 

It should be noted that Ukrtransnafta manages the Ukrainian main pipeline system, the capacity of which at entry is 114 million tons per year and output is 56.3 million tons per year.
