The Polotsktransneft Druzhba main pipeline system in Belarus is completely cleaned of contaminated Russian oil. This was stated by Director of the Belarusian operator OJSC Polotsktransneft Druzhba Vasily Drobotov.
“The linear part of the Polotsktransneft Druzhba oil main pipelines has been completely cleaned of oil with a high content of chlorinated organics”, RIA Novosti quoted the Head of the company.
He specified that the cleaning of the Belarusian section of the Surgut-Polotsk oil pipeline was completed ahead of schedule on the night of August 8. Contaminated raw materials are displaced into Russia.
Recall that for the first time Belneftekhim announced a deterioration in the quality of Urals oil exported via the pipeline from Russia on April 19. Separate samples showed an excess of the permissible norm of chlorides by 100 times. The company limited oil exports because of it.
Earlier it was reported that Russia and Belarus had agreed to increase tariffs for the transmission of Russian oil through Belarusian territory.
