ExxonMobil will sell a share of assets in Azerbaijan

ExxonMobil, an American oil company, may sell its stake in Azerbaijan’s largest field, Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG), Enkorr reports.

“ExxonMobil checks the market interest in its non-performing production assets in Azerbaijan. If other companies find great value in the assets, we will sell them,” said company spokesman Julie King.

Large Asian oil and gas companies are interested in buying the assets of an American company.

Earlier it was reported that ExxonMobil had achieved the abolition of the fine for contacts with Rosneft, which the U.S. Department of the Treasury regarded as a violation of sanctions against Russian companies.
