Greek investors are interested in bidding on Ukrainian oil and gas fields

Energy company Flow Energy & Environmental Operations S.A.  became interested in oil and gas fields, which are put up for electronic auction.  This was announced by the Head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil, Oleh Kirilyuk.

“The Greek organization visited the Service to access the physical data-room to get acquainted with the primary and secondary geo-information of 5 fields with hydrocarbon deposits.  Bidding on interested lots will take place in a week – on June 18 and the Greek side is actively studying materials in order to make a decision to participate in the auction”, said Kirilyuk.

The participation of foreign companies in online bidding for any minerals in Ukraine is not yet high.  But the State Service of Geology and Subsoil will continue to perform its work qualitatively for the arrival of new investors, he added.

“We are closely watching the changes in the field of subsoil use in Ukraine, in due time Greece also conducted many reforms in this area.  Our company intends to take part in the next auction.  And despite the fact that we are a small company, we are interested in five oil and gas fields with a total value of more than 1 million euros.  I hope that this is only the beginning and we will be active participants in the Ukrainian energy market”, said the President of Flow Energy & Environmental Operations S.A.  Tereza Fokianou.

On June 18, the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine will conduct the next electronic auction through the ProZorro.Sales system, which include 9 fields with hydrocarbon deposits with a total initial value of up to 100 million UAH.

Data of arenas are located in three regions with a total area of ​​about 2 thousand square kilometers, and the period of use of special licenses is 20 years.
