Pemex has stopped the work of a refinery in Mexico due to an emergency

Mexican state oil and gas company Pemex announced the failure of a petrochemical complex located in the southeast of the country, in the state of Veracruz, as well as those affected by the incident, the company tweeted on Wednesday, April 21, Izvestia reports.

Pemex is already taking the necessary security measures.

"The Morelos petrochemical complex has been decommissioned due to a power failure in the area of ​​the turbine generators," the company said in a statement.

Also, information was received about four victims as a result of a malfunction in the complex. Injuries from water vapour have been recorded in people.

As reported, in early April, a fire broke out at the Pemex oil refinery after a series of explosions.
