The Ministry of Energy of Poland announced its decision to use the required oil reserves after stopping the supply of polluted oil from Russia in April.
To ensure the regular operation of refineries 800 thousand tons of required oil reserves will be used.
Last week, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, and Slovakia suspended oil imports through the Druzhba pipeline after detecting contaminants that could damage the equipment at the refineries.
It was reported earlier that about 5 million tons of oil with a high content of organochlorine substances accumulated in the oil pipelines of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Poland. Belarus restricts the export of diesel fuel and gasoline, while refineries operate at minimum capacity, due to the lack of clean oil.
