Russia and Belarus agree on oil supplies for 2020

Rosneft entered into agreements with Naftan, BNK and Mozyr Oil Refinery for the supply of oil with a total volume of up to 9 million tons between April and December 2020, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

In January-April, oil supplies from Russia to Belarus decreased by 57.6% to 2.5 million tons.

Russian companies have virtually halted oil supplies to Belarus since January 1, 2020; the parties have not been able to agree on a price.

Belarus began to diversify oil imports. The country began to purchase oil from Azerbaijan, Norway and Saudi Arabia.

In mid-April, Ukrtransnafta received the fourth oil tanker for Belarus.
