Ukrainian Energy Exchange accepts applications for electronic auctions on oil and gas sites

The State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine put out 10 new lots for the sale of permits for the use of subsoil through the electronic platform CE “Ukrainian Energy Exchange”.

Eight lots for oil and gas subsoil study sites, including pilot development with further oil and gas production (industrial development of fields) for a period of 20 years in six regions of Ukraine. The deadline for submitting applications for 7 lots is May 1, 2019. The starting price of the most expensive part of the Drohobych area is 15.53 million UAH. In general, the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine plans to earn 58.54 million UAH for the oil and gas areas.

It was reported earlier that on January 29 in London was the Ukrainian forum for the exploration and production of natural gas. The Head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine, Oleg Kirilyuk, reported that for 2019 the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine, plans to set up 30 oil and gas areas with an initial price of lots of $50 million and forecasted resources that amount to 130 billion cubic meters of gas with an area of about 5000 thousand sq.km.

From December 6, 2018, the first electronic oil and gas auctions started in Ukraine, where 10 subsoil sites with a hydrocarbon resource base of 90 billion cubic meters were put up. In autumn 2018, it was agreed at the legislative level that from 1 January 2019 all subsoil sites will be provided in Ukraine exclusively on a competitive basis through the system of open electronic trading ProZorro.
