Ukrtransnafta received a license for the transportation of petroleum products through main pipelines

Today, on July 5, at its meeting, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission issued a license for the JSC Ukrtransnafta’s right to carry out economic activities for the transportation of petroleum products through main pipelines on a part of the main oil product pipeline Samara - Western Direction, press service reports.

According to Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "On Pipeline Transport", the main pipeline transport has an important national economic and defence significance and is the state property of Ukraine.

Also, by the decision of NEURC, until January 6, 2022 (inclusive), the license for the transportation of petroleum products through main pipelines, issued by PrikarpatZapadtrans LLC, was suspended based on transferring the licensee's integral property complex to another business entity.

To recap, Ukrtransnafta took over the management of the Samara - Western Direction oil product pipeline. The company undertakes to provide at least UAH 1.1 million of the state's monthly income from the management of the oil product pipeline within 5 years.
