Ukrtransnafta reported that the total volume of oil transportation increased by 89% in May 2020 compared to May last year – from 641 thousand tons to 1.2 million tons.
In particular, the company increased the volume of oil transportation to Ukrainian refineries by 32% last month compared to May last year – up to 262 thousand tons. Of these, the company transported 124 thousand tons of Ukrainian oil and 138 thousand tons of Azerbaijani oil to oil refineries.
In May 2020, oil transit through the territory of Ukraine via pipeline increased by 115% compared to the same period last year – up to 952 thousand tons.
In particular, Ukrtransnafta transported more than 859 thousand tons of oil for the needs of Czech, Slovak and Hungarian refineries and more than 91 thousand tons for the needs of Mozyr oil refinery (Belarus), which were delivered in March-April.
According to the results of January-May 2020, the total volume of transported oil is 6.2 million tons of oil (by 12% more than in the same period in 2019), from which the volume of oil transportation to Ukrainian refineries is 1.1 million tons (by 23% more than in January-May 2019), and transit – 5.1 million tons (an increase of 10% compared to the same period in 2019).
