Ukrtransnafta forcedly suspended the work of the Druzhba oil pipeline

Ukrtransnafta, according to the terms of the contract, has the right to stop accepting Russian oil if the raw materials do not comply with quality indicators.

On April 25 at 21:43 JSC Ukrtransnafta forcedly suspended oil transit through the main pipeline Mozyr – Brody (Druzhba), the message said.

This decision was made by the operator of the oil transmission system, in particular, guided by an agreement on the provision of oil transmission services through the territory of Ukraine. According to the terms of this agreement, Ukrtransnafta has the right to stop accepting Russian oil if the raw materials do not comply with quality indicators. All material losses are borne by the party, which has not kept its duties.

In addition, Ukrtransnafta is forced to resort to such actions in connection with the refusal to accept substandard Russian oil at the Budkovce acceptance section (Slovakia), as well as due to the lack of free tanks at the Fenyeslitke oil acceptance section (Hungary).

The company promises to inform about the restoration of oil pumping through the Mozyr-Brody pipeline later.

It was reported earlier that Poland refused to transport low grade Russian oil from Belarus to Europe.
