Ukrtransnafta reduced the volume of oil transit in 2019

According to the results of 2019, the total volume of oil transported for the needs of Ukrainian and European consumers is 15,509 million tons of oil, which is 0.5% more than in 2018. This was reported by the press service.

The volume of oil transportation for the Ukrainian refineries in 2019 amounted to 2.382 million tons (13.4% more than in 2018), and transit – 13.127 million tons (a decrease of 1.6% compared to 2018).

The company noted that by the end of 2019, it was almost possible to make up for the under-pumped volumes caused by the suspension of the Druzhba pipeline in April-May due to the ingress of oil with a high content of organic chlorides into it.

In December 2019, the volume of oil pumping for Ukrainian consumers (refineries) increased by 18.1% compared to the same period in 2018, to 207 thousand tons. And oil transit to European countries in December last year compared to the same period in 2018 decreased by 5.7% - to 1.159 million tons.

Recall that in December Ukrtransnafta extended the transit agreement with Russia for 10 years.

It was previously reported that Ukraine and Russia transferred jurisdiction to resolve disputes in the oil transit contract to Singapore.
