Coal reserves in Ukraine
As of May 22, gas coal and anthracite reserves amount to 2 137 thousand tons. Of which G grade coal – 1 247 thousand tons (58.3% of the total volume), anthracite – 889 thousand tons (41.6%).
It should be noted that since the beginning of 2019 coal reserves increased by 44.7% (by 660 thousand tons) and compared to the end of the heating season this year (April 6) it increased by 23.3% (404 thousand tons).
Recall that according to results of 2018, coal consumption volumes by TPPs and CHPPs increased by 5.7% (26.22 million tons). 5.8 million tons of A grade coal were used of which 5.4 million tons – imported source.
