Centrenergo offers private mines to redirect their coal to their warehouses

PJSC Centrenergo proposes to redirect coal from private mines to its warehouses during emergency repairs of power units of private companies. The company is ready to buy private Ukrainian coal at the market price during the period of a difficult situation in the IES of Ukraine, the press service reports.

“Due to the lack of capacity in the IES of Ukraine due to the stoppage of generation by large CHPs and emergency shutdowns of power units of private generating companies of TPPs of Ukraine, we are taking the initiative to redirect coal mined by coal mining enterprises in Ukraine, regardless of ownership, including private ones, to warehouses. power plants of PJSC Centrenergo. Our equipment is in a satisfactory technical condition, and we are ready to fulfil the state tasks of balancing the power system in full, taking into account the available fuel stocks,” said the acting director. Vitalii Dovgal, General Director of PJSC Centrenergo.

To recap, Ukraine is waiting for the arrival of 280 thousand tons of imported coal.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers and NEURC would check the owners of TPPs and CHPs.
