DTEK is switching another power unit of the Prydniprovska TPP to gas coal

DTEK Prydniprovska TPP intends to reconstruct power unit No. 11 with a capacity of 310 MW to convert the boiler TPP-110 to the use of gas coal, according to the website of the unified register of environmental impact assessment (EIA).

Within the project, it is planned to reconstruct the system for preparing and supplying dust for burning in boiler unit No. 11 of the boiler burner (replacing with new ones optimized for burning gas coal), as well as dust and gas systems of the boiler unit.

After the reconstruction of the power unit, the company plans to use gas coal from the Western Donbas group as project fuel.

Earlier it was reported that in March, DTEK Prydniprovska TPP had launched unit No.10 after conversion to gas coal. This is the fourth unit of the Prydniprovska TPP, which began to work on Ukrainian fuel.

The switching of power units at the Prydniprovska TPP began a year and a half ago. Units No.7 and No.8 began to work in 2017, No. 9 – in November 2018, a new electrostatic dust collector was installed on it.
