DTEK received the first shipment of coal from Poland

DTEK Energy has received the first shipment of Polish coal within the framework of the recently signed agreement with the coal mining company Bogdanka for the import of 320 thousand tons of thermal coal, the press service reports.

The locomotive with fuel arrived at the Dobrotvor railway station (Lviv region), after which it will be delivered for the needs of DTEK Dobrotvorska TPP.

It is planned that such coal supplies will take place on a daily basis.

The fuel import contract provides for the supply of coal from August 2021 to January 2022 inclusive.

It is intended for the needs of DTEK Energy TPPs, in particular, for the generations of DTEK Zakhidenergo, whose stations are located near the border with Poland.

DTEK Energy has begun importing coal from Poland, Kazakhstan for a stable passage of the heating season, and is also working on the issue of supplying fuel with suppliers from the United States.

As of August 19, there are about 531 thousand tons of coal in the warehouses of DTEK Energy TPPs. Their stocks are replenished on a daily basis.

On August 18, a fire occurred in the oil tank of the boiler and turbine workshop at DTEK Burshtyn TPP.
