DTEK holds open stock trading for the purchase of 450 tons of gas-coal

The largest Ukrainian private energy holding DTEK has appointed a total of 450 thousand tons of “G” grade coal to bid on the Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEEX).

Such data is contained in messages on the announcement of electronic stock trading on the UEEX website.

According to the exchange bulletin, coal will be delivered to each of the six TPPs of the company; the delivery period is September-October, without schedule restrictions.

For Ladyzhinska TPP, the price is set at the level of (including VAT) 1 867.2 UAH/t, Kryvyi Rih TPP – 1 912.8 UAH/t, Zaporizhzhia TPP – 1 965.6 UAH/t, Prydniprovska TPP – 1 912.8 UAH/t, Burshtyn TPP – 1 935.6 UAH/t and Dobrotvorska TPP – 1 923.6 UAH / t.

DTEK’s press service commented that when calculating the cost of coal, the freight and delivery prices were taken into account, so, the Rotterdam + formula was essentially used:

“Today, there is a limited supply of coal on international markets. We use all available tools to find fuel for our TPPs. At the auction, we focus on real import parity prices, taking into account the freight price, railway tariff and transshipment”, commented the DTEK Energo press service to Interfax-Ukraine agency.

The price is determined by API2 quotation (Rotterdam) on 30.08.2019 + freight, transshipment at the port, railway tariff from the port/border of Ukraine to the TPP.

DTEK noted that they plan to conduct tenders until September 12.
