DTEK increased coal reserves by 57%

DTEK accumulated 739 thousand tons of coal before the start of the heating season. These reserves should be enough for the operation of 8 thermal power plants of the company for a month. This was reported by Energoreforma citing the press service of the company.


“On September 1, there were 470 thousand tons of coal in the warehouses of the company's thermal power plants, now it is 57% more. This is enough for the stable operation of 8 thermal power plants of the company for a month”, the press service said.

Every day, TPP stocks are replenished with 45 thousand tons of coal, according to Dmytro Sakharuk, DTEK Energo CEO.

“We are preparing our stations for peak loads, which, according to forecasts, are expected in October. Now we have 653 thousand tons of gas-coal and 86 thousand tons of anthracite in stock. This is coal of our own production and imported”, the press service quoted Sakharuk.

Recall that a consignment of Colombian coal for DTEK arrived in Ukraine. The company purchased 88 thousand tons of coal of gas group.
