On September 4, the DTEK energy holding company at the bidding of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEEX) was unable to purchase G grade coal for its three thermal power plants again, the press service of the holding said.
The company planned to purchase 225 thousand tons of gas-coal in three lots of 75 thousand tons each, but did not receive offers from sellers.
The planned price of coal for Burshtyn TPP is 1935.6 UAH/ton, Dobrotvorsk TPP – 1923.6 thousand UAH/ton, Pridneprovsk TPP – 1912.8 UAH/ton.
As it is know, the price was determined by API2 quotation (Rotterdam) as of 30.08.2019 + freight, transshipment at the port, railway tariff from the port/border of Ukraine to the thermal power plants.
“Currently, the supply in global markets is limited. The company uses various tools to supply coal to Ukraine... In particular, we have chosen the most transparent procurement tool at an online auction pegged to an import index, we look forward to suppliers coming to our tenders, which will be held in several sessions until September 12”, the press service quotes the words of DTEK Energo CEO Dmytro Sakharuk.
