The Cabinet of Ministers has created a center for the transformation of coal regions

The Cabinet of Ministers has established a Coordination Center for the Transformation of Coal Regions, Business Censor reports.

According to Minister of Development of Communities and Territories Oleksiy Chernyshev, who presented the draft document, the main task of the center will be the formation of a strategic vision for the sustainable development of coal regions, the reform and development of the state coal mining complex.

The creation of the center, among other things, will allow for coordination of authorities in determining the transformation policy, determining ways to resolve the contentious issues of the formation and implementation of this policy, and will help raise funds for the implementation of relevant projects.

To recap, the World Bank and Germany will help in the transformation of the coal industry in Ukraine.
