A meeting of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. The meeting was attended by Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Chernyshov, Chairman of NEURC Valerii Tarasiuk, representatives of ministries, energy enterprises and MPs, the press service reports.
The members of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters heard about the preparation of enterprises of the fuel and energy complex for operation in the 2021/22autumn-winter period.
The Prime Minister stressed that it is necessary to prepare as best as possible for the heating season for its stable passage.
“This winter we must prove the ability of the energy system of Ukraine to be connected to the European network ENTSO-E. This is the priority of the Government and the President of Ukraine. Therefore, it is important to go through this winter with reliable work of all participants in the process,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
To ensure a stable passage of the heating season, following the meeting, the Ministry of Energy has been charged with making up a schedule for the accumulation of coal in warehouses, as well as, together with NJSC Naftogaz, developing a schedule for the accumulation and residuals of natural gas in underground storages for each specific date.
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy reported that test operation of the power system in an isolated mode was scheduled for the winter of 2022.
