This week DTEK will receive the first shipment of coal from Kazakhstan

General Director of DTEK Energy Ildar Salieiev during the Energy Club panel discussion "Will Ukraine have time to prepare the energy sector for the autumn-winter period of 2021-2022?" said that already this week Ukraine should receive the first supply of coal from Kazakhstan, in the volume of about 4 thousand tons, the press service reports.

As of September 7, coal reserves in the warehouses of DTEK Energy TPPs amounted to 623 thousand tons.

“We are already doing everything possible so that our country can calmly pass the heating season, and the Ukrainians were in winter with light and warmth. To ensure the stability of the Ukrainian energy system, we, first of all, use Ukrainian-mined coal. But also, additionally, and the first among the companies, they began to import it in advance from Poland, the USA and Kazakhstan,” he said.

At the end of August, DTEK received the first shipment of coal from Poland.

As reported, DTEK Energy and PJSC Centrenergo agreed with the American company to supply 75 thousand tons of thermal coal.
