The Government allocated 1 billion UAH for miners’ salaries

On October 31, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law “On Amending the Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2019”. 291 deputies voted for this decision. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

“The draft law provides for 1 billion UAH in order to balance the financial condition of state-owned coal mining enterprises and provide financial sources for the payment of salaries to miners”, the website said.

Recall that on October 18, the Verkhovna Rada supported the draft law “On Amending the Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2019”. Co-financing will ensure timely payment of salaries to miners and prevent mines from being disconnected from power supply.
