SSU: Poroshenko abandoned coal from Africa in favor of L/DPR
According to the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation, the fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, cancelled contracts with the Republic of South Africa for the supply of coal in 2014-2015 in favour of the so-called LPR/DPR, the head of the Main Investigation Department of the SSU Anatolii Bulich said during a press conference, Kosatka.Media reports.
The investigation believes that President Poroshenko "put Ukraine in an energy dependence on the Russian Federation and the leaders of the pseudo-republics controlled by it."
“Taken together, they (testimony, forensic evidence, audio files, documents – ed.) testify that Petro Poroshenko, being at that time in the post of President of Ukraine, used the powers and tools of influence given to him to terminate contracts with South Africa. And then, at the request of the representatives of the Russian Federation, he organized the signing on behalf of Ukraine of contracts for the supply of coal from uncontrolled territories,” Anatolii Bulich said.
The SSU also reported that illegal schemes for the supply of coal from the temporarily occupied territories to state enterprises of Ukraine were organized with the assistance of MP Viktor Medvedchuk.
