The Office of the President elaborated the expectations on the coal imports volume by the end of the year
By the end of this year, Ukraine expects the arrival of about 800 tons of coal, the Deputy Head of the Office of the President, Rostyslav Shurma said, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, Ukraine will import from 6 to 10 ships of coal monthly, now 450 thousand tons of coal are stored in the warehouses of thermal power plants and another 150 thousand tons in ports.
“As of today, 2 ships are already being unloaded, and we expect about 6 more ships by the end of December,” he said, adding that by the end of the year, coal stocks will reach 800 thousand tons.
Coal is imported by DTEK and PJSC Centerenergo.
To recap, the PM instructed the minister to control payments to miners.
