The first ship with coal for Centrenergo arrived in Ukraine

The first ship with coal from the USA, contracted by DTEK for the needs of Centrenergo, arrived in Ukraine. The Panamax-class vessel docked at the Yuzhnyi port, the volume of the first delivery amounted to 60.5 thousand tons, according to the press service of DTEK.

To date, DTEK has agreed with international suppliers to import 7 shiploads of coal into Ukraine. Of these, 5 deliveries are from the United States and 2 deliveries from Colombia. The volume of each ship batch is from 40 to 75 thousand tons. The total volume of contractual supplies provided to cover the needs of Ukrainian thermal power plants is almost 470 thousand tons.

All shiploads are expected to arrive in Ukraine during November 2021 - January 2022.

In addition to ship supplies, the company imports from Poland. In August, DTEK Energy signed two agreements for the supply of a total of 340 thousand tons of thermal coal from Poland. Also in September-October, the company imported coal from Kazakhstan.

During January-October of this year, DTEK Energy mines produced 13.7 million tons of G grade coal. In total, this year the company plans to produce about 17 million tons of gas coal.

Recall that the SSU exposed the head of one of the mines of the state-owned enterprise on the financing of the so-called LPR.

Earlier, Zelenskyi promised that there would be no blackouts, and there would be enough coal.
