Coal reserves at thermal power plants’ warehouses are lower than last year by 20.5%

Coal reserves in the warehouses of thermal power plants of energy producing companies (PC TPP) of Ukraine as of October 15, 2019 are 1 million 284.7 thousand tons, which is 2.6% (32.7 thousand tons) more than a week ago, and 20.5% (331.3 thousand tons) less than a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Energy and Environment.  This was reported by BusinessCensor with reference to Interfax.

According to the agency’s calculations, the coal reserves of the anthracite group at the TPP warehouses are 305 thousand tons, which is 4.3% (12.6 thousand tons) more than a week ago and 72% (127.6 thousand tons) more  than a year earlier.

At the same time, gas-coal reserves amount to 979.6 thousand tons, which is 2% (20 thousand tons) more than a week earlier, and 32% (458.9 thousand tons) less than the same period last year.

Coal reserves (anthracite and gas-coal) in the warehouses of CHPs for the week increased by 4.4% (7 thousand tons) – up to 164.1 thousand tons.  This volume of reserves is 31% (73.9 thousand tons) less than last year.
