Coal reserves at TPPs’ warehouses fell by 6% more in a week

Coal reserves at TPPs’ warehouses of Ukrainian producing companies fell by more than 5,8% (44 thousand tons) in a week and as of Tuesday morning amount to 709.4 thousand tons, according to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Mining. Such information is reported by BusinessCensor citing Interfax.

According to agency’s estimates, anthracite coal reserves amount 262.9 thousand tons (+0.04% as of August 19,2019, gas-coal – 446.5 thousand tons (-9%).

The current level of reserves is 2.1 times lower than last year (1 million 511.4 thousand tons). Of which anthracite reserves are higher by 8.9% than last year (241.5 thousand tons), while gas-coal – by 2.8 times lower (1 million 269.9 thousand tons).

In addition, coal reserves (anthracite and gas-coal) at CHPPs’ warehouses as of August 27, 2019 amount to 142.9 thousand tons, which is by 13.2% less than as of August 19,2019 and by 2.3 times less compared to last year (329.3 thousand tons).

It was reported earlier, that Russia had reduced coal supplies to Ukraine by 85.3% after Russian government had introduced new export policy.
