Zelenskyi promised there will be no blackouts and enough coal

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in his video message said that the state will not leave anyone without light and heat, Kosatka.Media reports.

He noted that the nuclear power industry is ready for the heating season. In recent weeks, two additional power units have been launched, in particular, at Rivne and Zaporizhzhia NPPs. Another unit of the Zaporizhzhia NPP will be launched in the coming weeks, by the end of November.

"Blackouts can scare only those who have disabled logic and critical thinking ... In order not to listen to false stories about blackouts, turn off the sound on some false channels," Zelenskyi said.

The President assured that the state "is successfully overcoming the challenge of lack of coal." He said that seven Panamax ships are going to Ukraine, which will arrive at ports in the near future. And they completely cover the needs of the energy sector by the end of this year, and if necessary, "our same actions will cover the needs until the end of this heating season."

“We do not buy coal from separatists. Some TV channels under the sauce of various arguments actively condemn this, although, in my opinion, those who bought it from unrecognized territories in previous years should be condemned. We do not pay and will not pay those who do not recognize our independence, and we are taking the first step towards full energy independence of Ukraine,” the president summed up.

To recap, Volodymyr Zelenskyi commented on the crisis in the energy sector of Ukraine, noting that the oligarchs are playing a game of "artificial shortage" of coal and gas, and the media are helping them in this.

As reported, DTEK is going to import 1 million tons of coal.
