Amazon will build renewable energy in Sweden, Spain, Australia and the USA

The American company Amazon announced the construction of solar power plants in Australia, Spain and the United States, and a wind station in Sweden, Ecotown reports.

In Australia, the company will build a 60 MW solar power plant. The SPP will produce 142 thousand MWh of electricity per year, which is equivalent to the annual consumption of nearly 23 thousand average Australian households. The station will work in 2021.

The second “green” project is planned to be built in Spain – a solar power plant with a capacity of 50 MW in Zaragoza. SPP will be launched in 2021. In addition, Amazon will launch its second “green” project in Sweden – a 122 MW wind farm in Vasternorrland. The wind farm should be commissioned in 2022.

In the USA, the company is already implementing the eleventh “green” project – a 65 MW solar power plant in Virginia. It is expected that SPP will generate more than 150 thousand MWh of electricity per year.

Now Amazon has already launched 26 “green” projects with a total capacity of more than 2,200 MW, which will be able to generate more than 6.2 million MWh of electricity annually.

It was previously reported that Amazon planned to build a wind farm in Ireland.
