Buslavets: Producers of renewable electricity will receive October’s payments in December

First Deputy Energy Minister Olha Buslavets, during the Energy Independent Regions of Ukraine forum, said that renewable energy producers would receive compensation for October in early December, UA Energy reports.

“We have fulfilled our obligations to investors for current settlements in August, September, and for October, the calculation will be carried out in full in early December,” added Buslavets.

Now the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine is working on introducing "green" auctions; shortly, the first quotas will be determined.

“Many factors coincided, including opening a young electricity market, which required balanced evolutionary development. However, we didn’t manage to do some things before its opening, so we had certain problems with RES investors,” she said.

As a reminder, the State Agency on Energy Efficiency supports introducing a net metering system instead of the FIT.
