Danish turbines for Ukrainian wind farm will be shipped from the Chinese port

The first vessel with components for a wind farm in the Zaporozhzhia region is loaded in the port of Tianjin.

In the Chinese port of Tianjin, located about 150 km southeast of Beijing on the coast of Bohai Bay, the first ship was loaded with components for a future wind farm, which is being built by DTEK holding in the Zaporozhzhia region. The vessel must deliver the goods in about a month in Ukraine. It was announced by Ivan Lyakh, the Head of legal department at DTEK VIE.

“All 26 wind turbines V126-3.8 were made on time and underwent factory tests. After a visual inspection in the port of Tianjin, the first batch of wind farm components is loaded onto the vessel. In the coming days, the ship will travel to Ukraine and will arrive, tentatively, in a month”, he informed on his Facebook page.

Vestas company acts as a manufacturer of wind turbines and components for the Orlovska wind farm project. It is the largest manufacturer of wind turbines in the world.

Construction of the Orlovska wind farm has begun in January 2019 and will last until the end of this year. It is expected that Orlovska wind farm will produce up to 400 million kWh of electricity annually.

Danish wind turbines will be reloaded in the port of Berdyansk. At the end of January 2019, the delegation of the Vestas visited SOE Berdyansk Sea Trade Port to discuss the prospects for cooperation in reloading 26 sets of wind generators for Orlovska wind farm.

In August 2018, Berdyansk port for the first time received a vessel for loading, which delivered the blades of wind generators.

It is expected that in 2019 only 63 sets of wind generators from different manufacturers will be delivered through Berdyansk port.
