World needs $10 trillion to use only renewables by 2030

The international renewable energy agency IRENA in its 10 Years: Progress to Actino brochure, which is published by the 10th Assembly, writes that renewable energy needs to be doubled in order to achieve a complete global transition. It is reported by Sunnik.

By the end of the 2020s, the share of renewable energy sources should increase to 57% globally, now it is 26%.

Investment in renewable energy should grow from about $330 billion a year to almost $750 billion to meet international climate goals.

According to IRENA, renewable energy sources will be able to provide access to electricity for 90 million people worldwide in the coming years.
