Guaranteed Buyer put up electricity from various sources for auction
The state enterprise Guaranteed Buyer has announced a new auction for the sale of renewable electricity, which offers electricity from various sources of origin, the press service reports.
For the first time, such a product can be purchased based on the results of the auction, which will take place on August 6, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.
Several products are offered to buyers: base load and block orders for individual hours of the day (8 am – 6 pm, 10 am – 4 pm and 1 am – 1 pm) with delivery in September 2021.
“For the first time, Guaranteed Buyer puts up renewable electricity, which is produced separately by solar (position 1 and 2), wind (position 3) stations, from biomass and biogas (position 4 and 5), as well as using hydropower produced only by micro-mini and small hydroelectric power plants (position 6). The company guarantees that at least 90% of electricity is generated from a certain alternative energy source,” the statement says.
Also, during the auction, the sale of products will be carried out by one lot. For each of the lots, trading will start from the starting price.
To recap, Guaranteed Buyer paid more than UAH 2.65 billion at the FIT in July.
