Guaranteed Buyer partially paid off renewable energy producers for March

Guaranteed Buyer completed the transfer of funds to electricity producers from renewable sources for March 2020, the press service said.

The payment was made on June 12, 2020.

The payment amounted to UAH 100 million. In total, Guaranteed Buyer paid UAH 550 million for electricity of March. The payment level has reached 13%.

“The total debt of NPC Ukrenergo to Guaranteed Buyer exceeds UAH 16 billion,” the statement said.

Recall, Guaranteed Buyer initiated the first auction for the sale of electric energy under bilateral agreements in the trade zone of the IPS of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine signed Memorandum of Understanding on the settlement of problematic issues in the field of renewable energy with investors on Wednesday, June 10.

The document provides that renewable energy producers accept the conditions for voluntary restructuring of feed-in tariffs, which provides for their reduction. In particular, tariff reduction by 15% is envisaged for all electric power generating facilities, which use solar energy, and 7.5% for facilities generating electric energy from wind energy.
