Guaranteed Buyer asks Energoatom to peacefully agree on the repayment of the debt

Guaranteed Buyer State Enterprise turned to NNEGC Energoatom with a proposal for a peaceful settlement of disputes over the debt related to payment for electricity supplied for the needs of the population in 2020, the press service reports.

“On November 22, the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal ruled in favor of NNEGC Energoatom in a case where the subject of the claim is the recovery of more than UAH 4 billion. Such actions of NNEGC Energoatom may pursue compulsory collection of debts and threaten the fulfillment of special obligations to ensure the availability of electricity for the population,” the message says.

Acting Director of Guaranteed Buyer Vadym Ulida appealed to the President of the State Enterprise NNEGC Energoatom Petro Kotin with a proposal to hold negotiations in order to resolve disputes between the key players in the electricity market and the main executors of special duties to provide the population with affordable electricity.

The company emphasized that in the event of compulsory execution of the specified decision of the court of appeal, funds intended for payment to universal service providers within the framework of the PSO for the population, as well as earmarked funds intended for settlements with electricity producers on the basis of the FIT.
