Guaranteed Buyer has a new CEO again
On December 13, 2021, the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Yurii Vlasenko introduced the new head of Guaranteed Buyer SE, the press service reports.
Andrii Pylypenko has been involved in the energy sector since 2015. Previously, he held senior positions in Ukrainian companies in the fields of legal support, corporate relations and documentary legal support, headed supervisory boards.
From November 2015 to September 2016, he held the position of legal advisor to PJSC Khmelnytskoblenergo.
The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed the former director of Guaranteed Buyer Mr Petrykovets and appointed acting director Vadym Ulida.
The ex-director of Guaranteed Buyer told about the pressure from the Cabinet of Ministers because of payments to renewable generation.
On November 15, Guaranteed Buyer paid UAH 16.3 billion to renewable energy producers with funds from NPC Ukrenergo, which the company attracted through the issue of green Eurobonds.
On November 17, Oschadbank managed to return only UAH 3 billion to Guaranteed Buyer after the dismissal of Mr Petrykovets.
On November 30, Guaranteed Buyer sent a request to the government regarding further actions with funds of UAH 3.04 billion, which are on the company's account.
On November 30, Mr Ulida resigned, two weeks after his appointment.
