Guaranteed Buyer owes UAH 14 billion to producers of renewable energy – Buslavets

Acting Minister of Energy Olha Buslavets at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services on June 4 reported that the debt of Guaranteed Buyer to renewable energy producers reached UAH 14 billion, Energoreforma reports.

“The debt of Guaranteed Buyer to renewables already amounts to UAH 14 billion, another 6 billion UAH the company owes to NNEGC Energoatom. Thus, debts of Guaranteed Buyer amounts to UAH 20 billion,” she said.

Recall, Guaranteed Buyer made an advance payment for electricity generated by renewable generation in the amount of UAH 150 million on May 25. The level of payments was only 7% for May.

Earlier it was reported that investment companies in renewable energy appealed to the IMF about the revision of a feed-in tariff.
