The Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting appointed Valerii Bezus as the head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, the press service reports.
Bezus will hold office from the date of the start of his actual performance of official duties for a period of five years. The Cabinet also set a probationary period of three months.
At the end of January 2020, he won the competition for the position of head of the agency. In February 2020, the government rejected a draft decree appointing Bezus as head of State Energy Efficiency.
Since July 2020, the duties of the chairman of the State Energy Efficiency Committee have been performed by Kostiantyn Hura.
Valerii Bezus served as Deputy Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council for the executive office in 2016 -2019.
He conducts active public and expert activities (Vice President of the Energy Club, President of the State Enterprise Ukrainian Association of Drinking Water ‘Borisfen’, President of ARDI (Agency for Regional Development and Investments, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under NEURC, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Energy).
