NEURC approved payments of Guaranteed Buyer for renewables for April

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission approved the size of the cost of the service to ensure an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative sources of energy, which was provided by the state-owned company Guaranteed Buyer in April 2020. This was reported by the press service.

The corresponding decision was made on May 27, 2020 at a meeting of the Regulator.

The size of this service amounted to UAH 5.9 billion.

After approving the cost of service, the transmission system operator (TSO) – NPC Ukrenergo must pay for it within one business day.

“Guaranteed Buyer insists on the need for full and timely payment of their services by NPC Ukrenergo in accordance with the requirements of the law. This, in turn, will ensure the settlement of the enterprise with electricity producers at a feed-in tariff,” the report said.

Earlier it was reported that Guaranteed Buyer made an advance payment for electricity produced by renewable generation in May.
