The Regulator reduced the obligations of Ukrenergo on payments at a feed-in tariff by UAH 1.7 billion

On February 11, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission approved a decrease of almost UAH 1.7 billion (27%) in Ukrenergo’s financial obligations to pay compensation for a feed-in tariff to Guaranteed Buyer. This was reported by the press service.

Now, the total amount of financial obligations of Ukrenergo to Guaranteed Buyer in the second half of 2019 is UAH 6.841 billion including VAT.

It is noted that the company has already paid UAH 7.272 billion in favor of the state-owned enterprise, so, UAH 430 million more. The overpayment by agreement of the parties was taken into account by Guaranteed Buyer as an advance for January 2020.

“Ukrenergo has fully settled with Guaranteed Buyer for 6 months of 2019 in paying compensation for the costs of a feed-in tariff”, the statement said.

To recap, Ukrenergo has settled with universal service providers to offset the costs of a feed-in tariff for the second half of the year. Payments in favor of universal service providers were 5.5 times higher than the amount of Ukrenergo funds provided for this in the transmission tariff.
