Solar farm with a capacity of 50 MW will be built in Chernivtsi region

50 MW solar power station is being prepared for a launch in Chernivtsi region, near the village of Novoselytsa, Ecotown reports.

A solar station is being built on waterlogged land unsuitable for agriculture with a total area of ​​108 hectares. SPP will become one of the largest in Western Ukraine.

“Now the village budget will make a profit: in 2020, the rural budget will receive significant funds that will be used to develop rural infrastructure, for example, the construction of a new modern stadium will be started”, says Ihor Kokhal, Tarasovtsi village head.

210 thousand solar panels with a length of 2.5 km were installed between the villages of Tarasovtsi and Vanchykovtsi.

Electricity, which is enough for ten such settlements, will be supplied to the public grid at a feed-in tariff.

Construction of the SPP began last year, solar panels were installed in August. Commissioning is scheduled for early March.

To recap, a solar station with a capacity of 24 MW had been launched in Dnipropetrovsk region.
