Guaranteed Buyer paid UAH 1.8 billion for “green” electricity in November

In November 2019, the state-owned company Guaranteed Buyer, under bilateral agreements with the State Enterprise NNEGC Energoatom and Ukrhydroenergo, bought 6,318 thousand MWh of electric energy. This was reported by the press service.

The total value of the purchased electricity amounted to UAH 3.59 billion. In addition, to ensure fulfillment of special obligations in the territory of the regulation area of ​​ Burshtyn TPP island at electronic auctions at Ukrainian Energy Exchange, Guaranteed Buyer purchased 16.9 MWh of electric energy for UAH 28.1 million.

Guaranteed Buyer purchased 529.4 thousand MWh of electric energy from renewable sources for a total amount of UAH 1.8 billion from electricity producers that are part of the balancing group of producers at a feed-in tariff.

Guaranteed buyer in November 2019 sold:

• 3,497 thousand MWh of electricity for UAH 1.4 billion – to universal service providers;

• 1,481 thousand MWh for UAH 929 million to distribution system operators and transmission system operator.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection did not support the scenario of restructuring a feed-in tariff proposed in the draft law No.2543.
